Join me in my efforts to support Lazarex Cancer Foundation!

Thank you for supporting Lazarex Cancer Foundation. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

On the left is my friend Steve, who I am honoring on this run. In October 2011, Steve was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. He was given 6-months to live. Gratefully, Steve is still with us, but he has fought through chemo and radiation and experimental treatments to be here with us. He is still battling cancer, and I hope and pray that Steve will still be with us when I cross that finish line in September.

Here's what I've realized - cancer SUCKS! In the past few weeks I've learned about family members of friends that have been affected by cancer.

#CorralG member Adam's dad is undergoing experimental therapy for kidney cancer that has spread to his lungs and lymph nodes.
Member Cindy's mom's cancer has returned. She has had surgery and will undergo radiation soon.
My dad's cousin, Ned, has been diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer and is researching his options since he has the luxury of time.
My friend Chelsea lost her dad at the age of 9 to cancer. I can't even imagine what her life has been like!

I run this year for Steve, for Adam's dad, Cindy's mom, for Ned, and for Chelsea's dad. I run for all the cancer warriors - those that are survivors, those that are battling now, and those that have lost the fight. We must do something to beat back this evil disease and help honor the memory of those we've lost. This foundation means a lot to me and I thank you for your support for Steve and all those we know.
